Jury Duty

I've been commanded by the Superior (oh yeah, superior to what?) Court of the County of San Diego  to report for jury duty ([livejournal.com profile] squalidbear now that you're a citizen, you could be next!) in early December.  PAH!

So, I've been working on a list of preparatory movies I should see...

...And Justice for All
12 Angry Men
Runaway Jury
Chicago (you knew I had to sneak a Broadway musical in there somewhere)
Trial by Jury
The Verdict
I, the Jury
Inherit the Wind
Legally Blond (yeah, OK, I'm reaching here)

and TV shows...

Law and Order (oh, I don't know which one, stop asking)
Perry Mason
The Defenders
Picket Fences
LA Law

Hmm, at this rate, I'm going to have to ask for a postponement.  More choices?

Within a few months of Danny's becoming a US citizen in March 2003, he had to report to Federal jury duty. There must be some kind of list to have the recently citizenized report immediately for jury duty.

Me? I had one false alarm call for jury duty four years ago. Whoop.

Hmm, interesting. I've served on two juries and have been called but not selected on at least 3 other occasions. Is there no end to the punishment!
