I've seen this done deliberately, and with the for-knowledge of the caller - it was just a 'fun thing' at one dance I attended years ago. And yes, I was in the square (but not the clueless one) and the guy in question was very amiable about being man-handled by the seven competent dancers. The square was a shambles, and we all collapsed in hysterics before the end of it!

However, in your case, I think it's rather different. Doing this at class level is NOT appropriate (wags finger and squints menacingly).
