The R Word
Sep. 20th, 2007 09:17 amThey used the R word on this morning's news.
Rain.
Of course, in San Diego, 'rain' usually means even the slightest precipitation. A 'rainstorm' here means that standing around outside for an hour will get your clothes damp. Maybe.
And in the next few days...
The news will blare out "Fall Storm 2007" dire warnings
Some people will be certain that the sky is falling, drive excessively fast, and cause crashes on all major highways
Umbrellas and foul weather gear will completely disappear from stores in a 50 mile radius
It is to laugh.
