As a result of a semi-last minute vacation plan, I've a couple of questions for my fellow square dance cultists:

-  Are you going to Weave the Rain in Vancouver this year?

-  If so, where are you staying?  (In the past, I've stayed on Davie at what now is called the Sandman Suites)

And if you're not going to Weave the Rain for a reason you'd like to share, I'd love to hear from you too.  Note that I've been to Weave the Rain a whole bunch of years ago and had a blast.

Thanks!

Thank you, no more drama queens in my life needed.  I've downsized and the positions no longer exist.

And this is not to be confused with those I know (and there seem quite a few at the moment unfortunately) who have real drama in their lives.  My experience with such folk has been that they deal quietly and effectively with their drama.  Go forth, people, and deal with your drama as you have done so well in the past.  You have my best wishes.

No, I'm ranting about the genuine article drama queens here.  Those that get a hangnail and scream 'woe is me!' at top volume.  Those that see every minor wrinkle in the smooth flow of their lives as a crisis of biblical proportions.  Those that manufacture situations that can only result in a cornucopia of drama.  Get a grip, girls!

And for those who elect to live their lives by bouncing from one faux drama moment to the next, what the heck's wrong with you?  Do you think that I'll find you somehow fascinating because you've invented the drama diet?  Didn't you see the 'drama free zone' signs I've posted?

Phew.  I feel better now.  Thank you for listening.
