Oh dear - brings back painful memories. One of the reasons I continued working for Tandem in the 90s was that I was SO close to my 10 year award - which traditionally was a beautiful long case clock (Grandfather clock). The very year I was to get my award, they announced that far too many people were staying 10 years, so they were moving the clock up to the 20 year mark. What did I finally get for 10 years of faithful service? A reproduction Dutch wall clock with a fake penudulum and a plastic movement!
