Tomorrow night is Foggy City Dancers Spring Dance and Silent Auction. To all my square dancing friends, you really should make an effort to get to this dance.
Why?
Joe Saltel, the caller, is somewhat unknown in gay Bay Area dancing circles but he's incredibly good, one of the best I've ever danced to. He's from Texas, doesn't get up this way all that often and simply shouldn't be missed.
I've seen some of the auction items that're going to be offered this year (hey, I'm printing out some of the flyers, all I need to do is read) and all I can say is wow. Some new and unique items, not to be missed.
And don't forget that this is not at FCD's usual venue. It's at the Sunset Recreation Center, 2201 Lawton Street. The Foggy City link above has directions and a map.
