History Channel recently produced a TV special surrounding the Christie's sale of memorabilia from the various Star Trek series, the original through Enterprise. At auction was an amazing mix of items from the Paramount warehouse. The selection offered a gourmet feast of models, clothing, props, and much more. Two items in particular caught my eye...
A Rusican flute from ST:NG's The Inner Light (my favorite of the series episodes) sold for $40,000. In a cameo, Patrick Stewart notes that the flute did not play, it was only a prop.
The largest of the Enterprise D models from ST:NG sold for a stellar $500,000. Just looking at the model (long before CGI became the standard) brought back memories and a few chills.
I want, I want!
