Trip the Sunset Advisory

For those that are planning on attending Trip the Sunset in August but have not yet made your hotel reservation, be advised that you may experience some difficulty.  I initially called the hotel and was switched to the national reservations line.  I was then told that the reserved block of rooms was full and that the rate offered was $119 per night as compared to the $79 group rate.  I asked a few questions, noted that the organizers of the event has said nothing about limited roomage.  After some checking, I was switched to a staffer back at the hotel ('Gina') and all was resolved.

So bottom line, get that reservation made!  And don't accept a higher rate!

Look forward to seeing you there! The original hotel is closed for renovations of course - that's where we were originally registered. Bill checked today with John that our reservation was switched to the current hotel successfully, so we are all set.
