Why is it?

Why is it that there are so many handsome seemingly unattainable men in the world?
Why is it that all work meetings invariably end up having to be scheduled for the days you've scheduled for vacation no matter what you do?
Why does my cat have an inexplicable fascination with the shower?
Why do problems that your friends have seem to have obvious solutions while yours seem to be insolvable?
Why is it that you learn that folks that you've wanted to meet are in town just as they're about to leave (or left the day before)?
And why, oh why, can they not recreate on the West Coast the wonderfully tasty bagels and pizza that you could find everywhere you looked on the East Coast?
Questions upon which the fate of Western society will pivot? No, I don't think so. But they do have me wondering...
